May 4, 2020
We have some exciting new things for you this coming week on The Satanic Temple TV!
Wednesday 6 May: “Satanism and Stigma Management,” the first episode of Dr. Eric Sprankle’s lecture series Studies in Satanism, will premiere on Wednesday! Dr. Sprankle, an Associate Professor of Clinical Psychology and Co-Director of the Sexuality Studies program at Minnesota State University, is conducting ongoing research on the attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors of Satanists to better inform academics and therapists of the lived experiences of Satanists. Along-side the free series of lectures, Dr, Sprankle will also be doing question-and-answer videos to answer your questions about his research, exclusively on TSTTV. So make sure you watch this first episode, and get your questions ready!
Friday 8 May: “Once the toothpaste is out of the tube” is another film in the An Art Apart documentary series by Carl Abrahamsson. It is an in-depth peek into the life and mind of brilliant American photographer Charles Gatewood, whose work explored the development of tattooing and piercing scenes, and the development of new subcultures centered on sexual and personal expression.
Saturday 9 May: We have an amazing new live installment of “Shake It For Satan” planned: you will be hearing the amazing beats of of DJ PlasticDisease against a visual backdrop of the 1922 movie Häxan: a brilliant and gripping visual study of prejudice against and persecution of witches in the middle ages and how it was fueled by superstition. As always with “Shake It For Satan”, the live video stream will be here on TSTTV, and we will provide links to a Zoom event where everyone can go to chat and experience the virtual dance party together!Tags: TV Guide
